It鈥檚 impossible to miss the pride in the voices of Joy and Rodney Vidito when they talk about their son Nick. There鈥檚 an undertone of sadness as well, but it鈥檚 overwhelmed by precious memories of what this exceptional young man accomplished before succumbing to muscular dystrophy in 2016 at the age of 28. Nick鈥檚 memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, though, and thanks to the efforts of several alumni and friends, his legacy will be brought to the fore when the Nicholas Vidito Memorial Hockey Award is presented to a deserving Acadia hockey student-athlete.

The BMO Lecture Series returned to 50904猪八戒易记网 on Thursday, March 23, 2023 with The Honourable Bill Morneau as the featured speaker. A good crowd packed into the K. C. Irving Environmental Science Centre Auditorium to hear Mr. Morneau discuss his new book, Where To From Here, A Path To Canadian Prosperity, with moderator Jane Taber.

In the summer of 1958, Ron Buckley tucked an engagement ring into his pocket and headed off on a second-hand motorcycle to propose to his girlfriend, Carol Chipman, at the girls鈥 camp where she was working for the season. After the bike broke down, he hitch-hiked the last 50 kilometres and the rest is history.

Serial entrepreneur and General Partner in District Ventures Capital, Arlene Dickinson, visited the Acadia campus and spoke to an audience of nearly 500 students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members at the 2022 BMO Lecture Series on November 17.

On Founder鈥檚 Day, November 15, 2022 (which is also National Philanthropy Day), 50904猪八戒易记网 Chancellor Bruce Galloway (鈥68, 鈥03 HON) hosted a full room of donors that included local alumni and friends, faculty and staff, to thank them for their tremendous support of Acadia students.

Thanks to the generosity of the John and Judy Bragg Foundation, up to 13 Acadia students benefit annually from the following awards, named in honour of former teachers who were Acadia alumni:
